In the video work "The Impostor Project" we deal with self-uncertainty, the omnipresent pressure to perform within the working world as well as the discrepancy between a subjectively felt inside and the outside perceived by the environment. The term Impostor phenomenon was coined in 1978 by P.R. Clance and S.A. Imes. It refers to the suffering of affected persons from strong self-doubt, which does not match the external perception of their person. Besides the negative aspects of this phenomenon, the underlying doubt also holds opportunities for creativity: a moment of inspiration and instrument for correction.
