Orbit I–III

The former switchgear building 2.0 on the grounds of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Zollverein, Shaft XII, will be used as an experimental space for exhibitions, events, and meetings of the Design Department of the Folkwang University of the Arts starting in the winter semester of 2024/2025. Former photography students of the Folkwang University of the Arts will present their artistic positions in dialogue with current student work.

Folkwang alumna Joanna Kischka and master's student Philipp Koronowski jointly exhibited their work. The focus of their exploration is on the culture of remembrance and collective memory in relation to the Nazi era, as well as the personal examination of what remains.
